Will Dry Wine Knock Me Out of Ketosis? We Test Cabernet
Do you enjoy wine, but worry that it will knock you out of ketosis? We tested our blood ketones and glucose after consuming 5 ounces (148 ml) of dry red wine (Cabernet Sauvignon) and share the results.
To perform the test, we took a baseline reading of our blood ketones and glucose. We then drank a glass of dry red wine and tested again at 30, 60, and 120 minutes. We did not have anything to eat or drink four hours prior to the experiment. See our actual blood glucose/ketone meter results.
